Fishermen Involved in Sustaining our heritage (FISH)
Fishermen Involved in Sustaining our Heritage (FISH) is a Louisiana-based, indigenously-led nonprofit organisation and coalition of over 150 dedicated commercial fishermen. Our mission is to passionately advocate for environmental preservation, safeguarding against LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) threats, and championing the rights of commercial fishermen to flourish and prosper. Through unwavering dedication, we raise awareness and extend direct mutual aid to uplift and support the vibrant community of Gulf Coast commercial fishermen. FISH was formed after an LNG tanker truck exploded in Cameron, LA leaving the community stuck between a toxic gaseous fire and an inoperable ferry boat unable to escape.

Concerned citizens table of lake charles
At the Concerned Citizens Table of Lake Charles, our mission is to empower residents to actively participate in local government and hold Big Oil industries accountable for their actions. Through initiatives such as filming City Council meetings, maintaining a social media group to update on local policy and permits, mobilising community members to attend meetings and events, and facilitating think-tanks to envision positive change, we strive to promote transparency, foster community engagement, and advocate for the protection of our community's health, environment, and quality of life. Mr. Paul grew up in the Chennault neighbourhood of Louisiana where a nuclear warhead exploded and the African-American neighbourhood that was originally there prior to militarisation of the community was left in the fallout after the military base was closed down and moved away.
