Visitors can enjoy performances from award-winning musical artists, seafood from top New Orleans restaurants and pop-ups, and family-friendly activities that showcase the spirit of Louisiana’s culture and cuisine.
Festival Highlights
🎤 Panel Discussion: The FACTS on SWLA — How Can Industry and Louisiana Fisheries Coexist?
Shrimpers, oystermen, and crabbers in Cameron Parish have faced up to 80% catch loss since Venture Global LNG began operations on the Calcasieu River. Join local fishermen and advocates as they discuss what’s happening, what’s at stake, and how Louisiana’s fisheries can coexist with industrial development.
🎭 Puppet Show: The Little Shrimp and the Terrible Noise
Follow Benoit, a brave shrimp who journeys down the Calcasieu River to find his family and save his home from the “terrible noise.” Inspired by true stories from Cameron Parish fishermen, this original puppet performance offers a heartfelt and educational look at environmental change through the eyes of the sea.
